Collection of Information:

• Location Information: Swoosh collects and stores the geographic coordinates of your device. This information is used to fetch nearby lost discs, save the position of where a disc is lost, found, or hidden. Please note that the location is only accessed and utilized when the app is running. We do not collect location information when the app is not in use.
• Photos: Swoosh allows you to capture photos of discs and geographical locations. The photos are saved in our database in Google Firebase.
• Email: When you create an account on our App, we collect your email address to facilitate the account creation process. Additionally, users have the option to provide additional personal information such as name, gender, phone number, PDGA number, etc., which is stored in their profile. Users may choose not to provide any personal information other than their email address.

Use and Storage of Information:

For all data saved on our servers, our Google Firebase database is used. No data is transmitted or stored elsewhere.

• Location Information: The collected and saved location information is sent to our servers via encrypted channels where it is stored.
• Photos: The captured photos are sent via encrypted channels to our database where they are stored.
• Email: Email is obtained via the account creation process and is part of the account authorization. It is transmitted to our database via encrypted channels where it is stored.

Camera and Microphone Access:

The camera is used within the app when you choose to add photos. Please be assured that no sound is recorded or saved during this process. The microphone access is required by the camera SDK to initiate the camera functionality.

Data Protection and Security:

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols and security measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Your personal information is securely stored in a backend database using Google Firebase, which employs industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of data.

Disclosure of Information:

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety. However, aggregated and anonymized data may be shared publicly within the App, such as in graphs and diagrams illustrating user statistics.

Children's Privacy:

Swoosh is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to the Privacy Policy:
